The Atlantic & Pacific Steamship Co's. mail steamer Orizaba, Commodore J. H. Blethen, left San Francisco December 20th. December 28th arrived at Acapulco; took supplies and sailed for Panama. Arrived on the 4th January.

Passage

ARRIVAL OF THE ORIZABA.

The Orizaba arrived at San Francisco yesterday morning, from Panama, and brought 354 passengers. We extract her memoranda and list of passengers from the Bee:

Memoranda

The steamer Orizaba left San Francisco on December 20th. Arrived at Acapulco Dec. 28th; took in supplies, and sailed for Panama. Arrived at Panama Jan. 4th. The passengers, mails and treasure crossed the Isthmus and went to sea same day, in steamer North Star, for New York, and Daniel Webster, for New Orleans. Returning, the Orizaba left Panama Jan. 15th with 260 passengers, 304 bags of United States Mail matter and 930 packages of goods for Atlantic and Pacific Express Company, from New York per steamer Northern Light, and 94 passengers and 16 bags of mail matter, from New Orleans, per steamer Daniel Webster.

The Orizaba was detained thirty-six hours at Panama, waiting for the New Orleans passengers and mails. Arrived at Acapulco Jan. 22; received on board supplies, and sailed same day for San Francisco; 23d, exchanged signals with ship Endeavor, lying at anchor off Point Teguan; 24th, in Gulf of California, spoke mail steamer Cortes; same day, off. Cape St. Lucas, saw two whaling barks and a large ship also, a large clipper ship standing south. Arrived at San Francisco, Jan. 30th at 8 a.m., having experienced strong headwinds since leaving Acapulco.
