Per Independence Left San Juan Del Sud, Oct. 24; arrived at Acapulco Oct. 30, and sailed again Oct 31st. Left at Salinas Bay English ship Regnald and Am. barque Carbarga. Left at San Juan Del Sud Br ship Kelvia. Oct. 6, spoke whale ship Elizabeth Starbuck, with 900 bbls sperm oil. Oct 26, passed steamer Pacific bound down the coast. Nov 4, passed a steamer at 9 P.M., fifty miles north of Cape St. Lucas.
October 30, arrived at Acapulco barque Nelson Place, Gilbert, master, 153 days, 48 days from San Francisco bound to N York in lat 55 54 S., long 63 22 W., and on the 14th Sept spoke the English barque Lyme Regis, of Lyme Regis, 79 days from London, bound to San Francisco in lat 48 44 S., long 84 42 W.
