Left at Acapulco, Oct 13, steamer Com. Stockson. Left at San Blas Oct 14, Br barque Mayo, discharging. Left at Mazatlan, October 17, schr Honolulu and Br. barque, name unknown.
The cholera was raging at Mazatlan, deaths 20 to 30 per day. Oct 21, passed a Br sloop-of-war, supposed to be the Daphne. In port, San Diego, October 25, steamer Eudora, for San Francisco to sail in a day or two; she had lost smoke pipe, and was otherwise damaged in a S.E. gale off Mazatlan. Oct 27, saw a large vessel at anchor off Santa Barbara, probably the Vincennes. Laid at anchor 18 hours on the bar owing to thick fog. The Fremont has experienced heavy N.W. gales ever since leaving San Diego.
