Daily Alta
California, February 26, 1853
THE GREATEST
PRIDE OF NATURE is the hair, the hair, and nothing but the hair.
Messrs. Vautier
Boucher, Hair Dressers from Paris, take the present opportunity
of informing the public that they have opened their new Saloon, No.
150 Kearny street, between Sacramento and Commercial streets, which
for comfort and elegance cannot be surpassed in the city.
The
Ladies are particularly invited to give us a trial in order that their
entire patronage may be secured us at our various establishment over
the world, the principal of which are doubtless known to many:
10 Rue
de Rivoli, Paris
217 Regent street, Longon
and Mr. Vautiers establishment, Valparaiso
We respectfully call the publics attention to our stock of artificial
hair, and to the manner in which we are prepared to manufacture the same,
and we are fully convinced that our work in this particular branch of
our business cannot probably be equalled in California, or surpassed even
in Paris, where our long practice alone procured us the very best of patronage.
Our
well assorted stock of perfumery and general articles necessary to the
toilette will be found equal to any of our above named establishments,
together with every description of French and English brushes and combs,
fine cutlery, toilette glasses, neck handkerchiefs, and scarfs, fine
shirts, gloves, &c., &c., &c.
Private
Saloons for Ladies.
Messrs.
Vautier & Baucher's Warranted, Indelible Hair Dye, without injury
to health, will also be administered I separate saloons.
