ARRIVAL OF THE CONSTITUTION.
SIXTEEN DAYS' LATER INTELLIGENCE FROM NEW YORK.
Panama Not Arrived!
Through Freeman & Co.'s Express.

The American propeller steamship Constitution arrived at San Francisco yesterday morning, in twenty-three days from Panama. The news is interesting, though not very important. The Constitution brings no mail.

The Pacific Mail Steamship Panama sailed from Panama on the 4th inst. the Constitution sailed the next day. When the latter arrived at Acapulco, no tidings of the Panama had been received at that port. The Constitution encountered a heavy sea, and tremendous head winds. It is probable, therefore, that the Panama has met some accident, and probably put back for repairs.

The steamer Constitution will be due at San Francisco to-morrow, on which, it is stated, T. Butler King, the U. S. District Judge for San Francisco, the Marshal, and several other officers for California, are passengers.

Cargo

72 boxes butter, one cast iron frame, one small steamer, 15 foxes acid, 65 pieces of machinery and 247 packages of unidentified merchandise. .
