ARRIVAL OF THE GOLDEN AGE! 

The steamer Golden Age, Capt. Watkins, arrived from Panama yesterday afternon, abut two o'clock, bringing dates from New York to the 20th of February, eleven days later than previously received, and from Europe to the 2d of February.

The following is her memoranda and list of passengers, for which we are indebted to the Purser, Mr. Watkins.

Memoranda

The P.M. steamship Golden Age, Commander Jas. T. Watkins, left San Francisco, Feb. 5th, at 3 p.m. Arrived at Acapulco Feb. 12th at 3-1/2 p.m.

Nothing unusual occurred. Nothing unusual occurred until the evening of the 17th, when, at 10 p.m., we experienced a severe shock of an earthquake. We were about six miles to the southward of Montaosa Island weather calm and sultry; the sensation was similar to that produced by striking a whale, and was felt more plainly aft than in forward part of the ship. The shock was felt at Acapulco on the same day and at nearly the same hour.

Arrived at Panama on the 19th, at 1 A.M., making the run in 13 days and 10 hours. The passengers were all landed by sunrise, and left Panama at 8 A.M same morning. The steamer El Dorado left Aspinwall for New Orleans at 4 p.m., same day, and the Illinois for New York, at midnight.

Left Panama for San Francisco March 1st, at 7 A.M., with U. S. mail and 840 passengers and 762 packages freight. Arrived at Acapulco 6th, at 8 p.m., received our supplies, and sailed at 7:30 next morning. While there, experienced another slight shock of an earthquake. Arrived at San Francisco 14th, at 1 p.m., making the run in 13 days and 6 hours. Weather generally fair and passage delightful.

Left at Panama, U.S. sloop-of-war John Adams, waiting orders, and the Br. mail steamer Bogota, to sail for Valparaiso same day. At 9:30 A.M., March 1st, met steamer Oregon 28 miles from Panama.
