General Notices
Daily Alta California, January 10, 1851
We, the undersigned, passengers on board the Gold Hunter from San Juan del Sud to San Francisco, desire, before leaving the vessel, to express our thanks to Capt. Bodfish, for the kindness and attention we have received from him during the voyage, which, from the crowded state of hte vessel, required unusual assiduity.

We likewise feel bound to notice the untiring energy of Captain Bodfish to the navigation of his vessel; also of Mr. Dennis, Purser, M.r Drentinno (sp?), the Chief Engineer and his officers to the duties of their departments, and to assure them of our entire confidence in their abilities.
